| Services Provided: | Outreach provides information to homebound seniors regarding
available services and benefits, and will help seniors apply for benefits and services.
Nutritious, hot meals are provided at five meal sites in McDonough
County. Meals for homebound seniors in Macomb, Blandinsville, Colchester, Industry and Bushnell are available for either pick up or delivery. A recommended contribution is suggestions, but not
senior is ever refused meals due to inability to pay. Cold sack lunches
are offered to homebound clients.

Activities and Programs: Seniors are invited to drop in during regular hours. Books,
magazines, puzzles, games, TV set with closed captioning, piano, organ and pool table are available. Recreation and educational activities include dancing, singing, card playing, bowling, crafts, swimming, fitness classes, walking, Rules of the Road, and more. Senior may obtain twice-monthly blood pressure checks, monthly fasting blood sugar checks and quarterly cholesterol checks. Presentation by speakers represent a broad cross-section of community and health service agencies. |
| Comments: | The Senior Center is funded by Western IL Area Agency on Aging and the Older Americans Act as well as funds from senior citizen
associations, service clubs, individual contributors and the Untied Way.
